Well, that's fairly creepy.
...you know what they say about free stuff, if it's free, YOU are the product. I personally don't use Foxit anymore because it got bloated years ago. I use the built-in FireFox PDF-reader. Like, FireFox opens PDFs without any issues for me but I definitely am not surprised that even Foxit has maybe turned into some kind of spyware.
These days, EVERYTHING has been turning into spyware it seems. It's almost like someone gave an order to EVERYONE to turn EVERYTHING into spyware, of course, I'm a little too crazy now but yeah, signs of times I guess.
I would recommend you to do what I do, see my post
How to use Windows Firewall in an efficient manner. What I basically HAVE to do these days is to kill ALL communications to the internet, even Windows isn't allowed in my Firewall rules. If you follow the instructions in that post, NOTHING will be able to talk with outside world unless you specifically allow it with an allow rule. Not even time will synchronize which isn't THAT needed. I open it manually and do it maybe once in a blue moon.

Speaking of spyware, I think you might also enjoy this other post:
How to disable Windows 10 spyware telemetry logging. With Windows 10, I basically never allow it to update, AT ALL. As long as it works, it's fine. The thing is, since it's all behind a router and a firewall, you don't REALLY need that Windows Update which only God knows what it does these days. I keep my FireFox up to date, however.

Well, that's fairly creepy.
