The Chinese don't want an OS with a known backdoor/kill switch in it, and with all the stuff going on with the NSA altering hardware after intercepting packages and installing malware on OS's, they are not trusting the US. Also, notice how the announcement came right after the US announced charges against the Chinese for hacking?
By the way, is the US going to extradite the Chinese hackers?
