Whether people like Microsoft or not, many see the Scroogled ad campaign as a bullying effort, and see that the underdog is doing whatever it can to make the big boys look as bad as possible. Microsoft probably didn't fire this idiot because he has past political ties, and that could be bad news for the company in their eyes.
