Oh! Wow!
Yeah, these A.I. bots are very creepy. Twitter is full of them. They are ruining what's left of the internet even more.
'!' claims they were A.I. bots, I don't know for sure. However, it's not too difficult to imagine that, if you can design a spambot and a chat-generating AI, you could likely tie the two of them together.
Case in point, Steven W, we both just got the shaft. The "person" we both responded to isn't real. Go check its profile, it has a spam link as web site. There are currently more members similar to this one. Very messed up and creepy.

spam bots I am well familiar with but how do AI's access/use a forum?
The same method as spam bots. They talk seemingly general normal stuff but then they add a very tiny invisible link for spam URL in their profiles or posts. I don't own a computer right now due to financial difficulties so I can't really sort things out except just trying to delete them when I spot them.

What software am I using when i do this?
Gees, I hope you're a real person...

I'm just using Google Chrome.
Well you didn't make it clear, so maybe your not real?
 We've had some issues with spambots, and supposedly AIs too.

Sigh

The thought occurs of specifying the width of the editable area to match the width of a document...
