By the way, do you need to test anything more or can I delete the Windows XP virtual PC? (It will die anyway in 30 days, no serial.)

I have no idea. I actually have used VPN only once in my life I think and for a short period of time. Don't know much about it. I usually use RDP to connect to my PCs and servers and it's already encrypted, can be set to SSL.

I did, I think it's a certificate issue. Do you know how to create ipsec pre shared keys?

I have but hm, I can't alter my router at all so can't test it "Configure your router to forward the following ports to your Windows XP Pro computer: UDP 500, UDP 1701, UDP 4500"...

Hah! It worked!!! The one from http://deepxw.blogspot.com/2009/04/univ ... patch.html worked!

UniversalTermsrvPatch_20090425.zip
(65.89 KiB) Downloaded 1382 times

xp sp4 rdp patched dll and reg.zip
(150.66 KiB) Downloaded 1404 times

I attach the patched DLL and the .REG file. See, this is what I missed, first run that .REG file (xp.reg) and then run his patcher for x86. ...and it works! I forgot to run the .REG file when I tested earlier. (Was half drunk)

Anything for a friend! You know, I was thinking, this SP4 isn't official so I wonder which version of termsrv.dll they actually use. I forgot to take a snapshot before installing it (of course, because I'm an idiot) so I will reinstall XP and then compare these DLLs, see what I can find.

Man, I had forgotten how GOOD Windows XP looks compared to Windows 8.x or 10... oh the memories... can't believe how batshit crazy Microsoft has become these days.

Thanks for looking into it.

You are right! Fuck! It doesn't work! Give me a day or two, I'll fiddle with it some more, see if I can manage to "fix" it. I'll let you know.
