These are the only Windows services running in it. Fuck everything else that Microsoft put in it. I killed off the spyware stuff and also even killed the Start Menu but let me tell you, it's such a bliss to wake up each day and knowing for sure that no idiot at Microsoft came and changed something inside my computer. Windows 10 is working super fast and nice with the junk turned off, no really, it's amazingly nice now.

Imagine that, just running 24 services and no more! ...I think the "Background Tasks Infrastructure Service" could also be turned off but I don't dare to test it in case I brick this thing. I'll test it on the server some day when I can be arsed to take an extra snapshot in case things break so I can roll it back.

No games run on this little PC though so I just play the old Amiga games for now in an emulator (WinUAE).

My new PC: ASUS VivoStick TS10

!, 2019-03-07 01:13 »

My new PC: ASUS VivoStick TS10 with 2GB RAM and Windows 10 Home Edition x64. Killed off most of Windows, including (of course) Windows Update. Works pretty alright. Good enough for suring one Web site at a time or watching Netflix.

Yeah yeah... I know but I can't afford a "real" PC right now. My situation is pretty bad right now, barely can afford to keep the server running but no plans to shut off the Web site or anything, just very very very poor right now. Trying to live off $5 a day, super hard, managed to get it as low as $8 right now but going down slowly to $5.
