Have you ever found something really badly designed? Something which obscurity of its functions makes it hard to understand its use? Something almost unusable to a point it would drive you mad using it too often? Perhaps, a fool's design? Then you have come to the right place. Post your findings here and help making the world a saner place.

Fool's design.

Blur bastards.

A somewhat new disgusting trend in picture taking. Blurring almost the entire picture, showing just a small section of it. This is to force the viewers' eyes to a specific section of the picture. Not trying to be cynical, we will assume some "web designer" tried to be innovative or cute. It is very creepy as almost all media does this lately. The more you see such pictures, the more annoying it becomes.

We call the people who are doing this to pictures... blur bastards.

I'm so sick of all these brainwashing techniques, can't even watch the fucking pictures anymore. They FORCE your eyes into a small tiny bit of the picture and blur the rest of it. Like an illness, it spreads everywhere. ...or the cynical side of me would say that they are ALL in it. I have started to block almost all the pictures on the news sites these days, I cannot stand this blurring! WHY AM I NOT ALLOWED TO SEE HIS ENTIRE FACE? OR THE BACKGROUND? Filthy pieces of shit! Oh, that's right. The overlord owners want us to only see the Google glass and NOTHING else must take attention from it! A form of brainwashing mixed with advertisement

This fad of the shallow depth of field (DOF) is making me nuts! Almost all images are unviewable these days. Fucking blur bastards!

When people in the future look back in history, they will think we never had excellent cameras. They will think there was something wrong with all lenses sold because 90% of the entire world's pictures, even those on the newspapers and magazines are blurry. Absolutely disgusting.

All of them are collected from news websites!

Just look at these!

Even some of the most modern games are bow blurry!

...and why is this behaviour OK and acceptable? Because most people have become complete fools. Empty shells. One could even argue, that most people always have been like that.

I'm afraid you are gonna see even more of this crap ...

Adobe Creative Cloud apps now available; Photoshop CC includes new features

Smart Sharpen has gotten smarter in CC. The filter now accounts for the subject of the photo, and selectively sharpens it while leaving the background softer.

Here is one photo they use ...

From that screenshot I honestly can't see the difference but it sure sounds like SmartSharpen might make more examples of these blur photos by leaving parts of it untouched - on purpose.

"Smart Sharpen"? aaaaaaaaaargh... there is NOTHING "smart" about this crap. Man, this depth of field is like a disease spreading everywhere. Some pictures are almost FULLY BLURRY! It is also used very heavily in movies and TV-series lately.

Here is a movie from 2012, Zero Dark Thirty.

Why the FUCK is THE ENTIRE FRAME BLURRY except ONE actor? Seriously, why the FUCK?

When the FUCK did it get acceptable to use this in movies? One could easily argue that this is not even a movie anymore but a PICTURE taken from ONE person PRETENDING to be a "movie"!

THEY CAN FUCK OFF TOO!
