Funny, I was actually going to post that very same image you posted. Here is another one from the same article, almost completely blurry. Psychotic behaviour to take and use such pictures on Web sites in my humble opinion.

What kind of camera or camera setting could possibly take that photo? It has to be after-the-fact editing silliness.

Wow, that was a good find. There is something seriously wrong with the world, the people, everything seems upside down lately. It has started to really creep me out. A bit like we are stuck in the Twilight Zone. I really liked watching those but being inside one, I think not.

This thread makes me remember sometime in the late 1980's when we first noticed some of those shakey-cam videos. Naturally people started to copy it and now it is everywhere, not just music videos, but movies, commercials, everywhere. They even make special equipment ( steady-cams ) just to make these stupid films which in all except very few circumstances sucks ass. IMHO.
Somewhat related is the more "artsy" off-center video technique, which also followed the same trajectory because copycats just cannot resist copying ideas no matter how bad they might be.
Clearly this blur thing, which I hardly took note of until this thread, is the one of the latest examples of a contagious disease.
Yep, the human race is doomed.

Even Kubrick was doing it in 2001
Edit:
This doesn't look right. I thought I needed to embed between the youtubeurl ^^^^above?

Blue + Orange ... Gotta admit I never noticed that one either! Good find.
That certainly deserves its own thread. Maybe ciHnoN will split that off into a new one.
Anybody else starting to feel manipulated yet?

The problem was that this URL "http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=U2iiPpcwfC" had an extra "
feature=player_embedded&" which needed to be removed. The code only recognizes "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2iiPpcwfC".
