Fido-x wrote:Hi all! First time here. Alright so i get this error which freezes the system "Explorer caused a general protection fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:000075a2" so i decided to try your service pack to possibly fix it. After installing your latest 2016 version of sp3 (only core system files) and restart, nothing was fixed. I get the error randomly. How to fix it?

Umm.....worst case scenario is reinstallation of the Operating System. Hopefully it won't come to that.

I tossed your error message into Google the way I do with anything that comes up for me.

This might help. Or it might point to other solutions.

I can't make any guarantees. Good luck

Sperry - it became double by mistake.
How can I delete or edit a post?

I managed to solve the problem, even though no one answered.
But I still do not find a way to edit a post or delete one, though... As most Forums have it.
"Sperry" above should be "Sorry" - but I, of course, hit the P instead of O and the E and R at the same time...
and discovered it later...

In case I come back, it might be good to know how to edit.

You cannot delete or edit any posts in here because we don't want anyone to delete valuable information.

That happens to all of us...
Other Forums let the contributor edit his own post, if properly logged in, but no other.
And some only within 24 hours or so.

Yes but this is a safer way and also, I personally find it funny when errors and mistakes happen. I go back to them from time to time, after a few years and it makes me chuckle a little.

It seem installing the main updates in the latest version of SP3 causes the "As web page" view mode in explorer to draw everything blank. I am forced to use classic mode.

Just registered to thank to you all, for such a great contribution! It's amazing to have all-in-one fixes and patches for Windows 98 SE - an OS I love to use on my retro computers!
Many thanks!
