Hi there

I'm a guy from Barcelona, Spain, who has been following this unofficial SP thing for quite some time.

As a video games fan, I've been pretty pissed off with each release of Windows. Each and every time I had to scratch about half of my (original!) games...

Last week, doing some spring cleaning, I stumbled upon a box filled with all my old games, and it occurred to me, why don't I build some retro time machine and have a blast with all this stuff?

So here I am, happy as a piggy in the mud. I got computer pieces and parts all over my place, my girlfriend is hating it, I'm using Windows 98 SP2 on a 533 MHz PIII , and it works like a charm!

So, thanks. You guys are doing an amazing job with this package, us peeps tired with this multi-cored modernist techno-garbage and obese inept operating systems are eternally grateful for it.

Now is time for a Jeopardy round, if there are any kind souls around here (and if they don't mind...):

Reading the change logs, I noticed some mention about Active Directory. Is it actually possible to connect to a domain controller (Windows 2003), without punching dozens of holes in it (I'm only interested in gaining access to shared folders)?

Where can I find information on what software packages need to be installed (IE6, DX9 etc.) before applying SP3?

Thank you for your help and keep up the good work!

Welcome :D :D Its good that the SP is treating your system well. You can start by getting the necessary packages here
http://www.mdgx.com/. I can tell you are a reader of instructions or you wouldn't be here. Thanks again, and hopefully you and others help me improve it in the future.

Greetings, PROBLEMCHVLD. I know this is a 98SE forum and I'm sorry if I will ask you this. Do you still have the Un.official Win.ME SP 3 Beta 2?. Can you provide me a download link? The link you provided on ms.fn o.rg is not working. I'll install today a WinMe OS in my laptop and I would like an updated one. Thank you! Sorry for my bad English.

I will post a beta 3 on here for you guys hopefully sometime this weekend. My job shuts down for a month, so I'm planing a vacation for me and my daughter. I will ask the admin here to upload it on this server. I will also start a windows me topic for SP 3.x beta. I will do my best to bring it to where 98 SE SP 3.24 is. My time is limited at the moment, but I will try to get it to you asap. Thanks.

On a side note, we do NOT censor posts here. You CAN name other websites, yes, even msfn.org in here. Speak freely! :P :D
