Hi PC (haha your initials indicate you do indeed belong in the world of computers). I, like many others appreciate the work you're doing (and have been doing). It makes updating a 98 system in the post-Windows Update world so much simpler. But I have a question that digging through this thread I haven't found an answer to:

You have included a number of random DLLs from newer versions of Windows, many from XP SP3. What, exactly, is their purpose.

For an example, take VCRT20. have been unable to find any documentation that references the changes between 2.11 (the pre-XP version) and 2.12. I can't find XP related changelogs either. It seems to more or less work, as do many of these, but it seems like an invitation for broken program compatibility for no documentable gain.

Am I wrong in this view? What are we attempting to accomplish?

Thanks!

Stability, benefits, enhancements etc..... The list goes on  SP3 is one of the smallest but fully updated pack for Win98 SE. It wasn't meant to satisfy everyone needs, my endeavor was to have the most notorious hybrid system possible. I shared it with others, roughly about 35,000+ users. SP gives you a ton of options to choose from. I can continue to add until its nothing left. A lot of the newer files has functions that older ones don't. They also have newer code, bugfixes etc... I choose to use WinXP files, so in the future i would never have to update the pack again. I'm a geek, I won't settle for nothing but the best IMO. There are no boundaries, no holds bar, do or die, better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. Feel me?

TY for 3.39

Added PNTFS.VBS, PNTFS.ICO, PNTFS.VXD (Paragon NTFS for Windows 98)

Does that mean that NTFS is supported now?

Just a quick question Stewie.

What version of ATL.DLL do you have in your Win-98 Service Pack?

I wasn't even going to respond because there is a change log, yet people refuse to read it. So as of this point I won't even waste time updating it anymore. It would be a waste of time. Thank you for not reading.

Believe it or not, I actually do read it before installing just to see what's changed. I will admit the thought never occurred to me to point to it for version numbers of files.

FYI, I added the Paragon version of NTFS for Windows 98 and kept the Sysinternals NTFS for Windows 98.
When users check NTFS Drivers for Windows 98 box, you will have 2 options to choose from. I am using the same approach for USB 2.0 drivers adding the VIA chipset version. It will be in 3.40. Less downloading, fewer clicks etc..
