Now the vbs script will come in handy with trying to detect with VMs. Its so many VMs software we'll be working our asses off try to please every single user. So far, 3.65 works with VMware and not others and 3.66 works with qemu and not others. I have already started the process for 3.67. Maybe we can find the right combination for VMs because I really don't want to install 10 different VMs on my computer and configure them etc... Then its the versions of VMs, not everyone is going to be using the same build which will bring more issues.
In my humble opinion, choose 3 big ones, vmware, virtualbox, qemu maybe? Those 3 were just examples. I don't have a computer so I don't know which ones are the big ones right now.

I wonder if taking the batch and inf files would help if they were combined in a VBscript? This might be a possible solution but I don't know vbs.

Sounds definitely possible. I used to know some VBScript... but for now, on phone, I'm doomed. lol

Hey, I'm trying to install this unofficial patch and process INFEX doesn't respond, I had message about file that has different language than one actually existing (3.65 make my 98SE mix of my native and English, other than this worked great). I guess to wait and if nothing will happen, I'll reboot system.

Terminate winoldap with ctrl alt delete

Then run the SP installer.

I found this reproducible glitch on a Dell Latitude C800:

1. The SP3.66 Main Updates install normally on a new Windows 98SE installation.

2. If NUSB36E.EXE is installed before SP3.66, then INFEX.EXE always hangs on Main Updates.

3. The hang only happens for Main Updates. Other components can install after the universal USB drivers are running.

Unofficial SP3 remains excellent. I'm glad that PROBLEMCHYLD is still working on it.
