I don't recommend the debug version for most, but with Flash largely not working 'in the browser' these may be a must for some:

Most will want:

Most of you probably know that you can, in many cases download the Flash files themselves from sites, most of the time they have an SWF extension.

XnView

https://www.xnview.com/

You may have noticed this in my Raspberry Pi screenshot, it makes me miss Irfanview a little less on Linux. There's a Windows version too, if the MP (multi-platform) version runs a bit flaky on Windows, check under "Products" on the site and get the 'Classic' version. Oh yeah, I think it was version 1.50 that works on Windows 3.x.

Desktop Architect

This is a fairly cool program to allow you to adjust many visual element in 95 - XP. One bit of advice, DON'T use the program to apply themes, do that in the Themes tab under Display settings.

BTW, I used this to adjust the toolbar here:

Sure, you can do this stuff by hand, but it's a bit complicated.

I miss old themes, old days, so good, we could share .EXE files without trust issues and problems. The time before the internet, it was a good time, it was a great time.

Found the link to XnView 1.50, the old version for Windows For Workgroups (apparently from the file name), it requires Win32S also.

Probably familiar to modern Windows users:

https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner

I'll just use their description:
Computer running slow? Strange messages popping up? Browser homepage changed without your permission? This could be the work of adware (and its friends), a sneaky variant of malware that is hard to find, and harder to remove. Malwarebytes AdwCleaner employs innovative technology engineered solely to detect and remove these unwanted hitchhikers. It’s the cleaner of choice for home users and technicians.

Gee, a spreadsheet that I've open in earlier versions of LibreOffice, OpenOffice, Google Sheets. I just installed Gnumeric and it works fine. I don't know how or why, but LibreOffice is also fucking up the character detection/"encoding", it displays a dialog box just before I captured the screen show showing UTF-16 and English, but displaying Chinese characters. The file is literally a CSV file, it's glorified text! It literally opens in a fucking text editor. Every new version of LibreOffice that's installed by my distro has a NEW fucking problem!

You wonder why I recommend Apache OpenOffice? Because it just fucking works!

Well, if I change the dialog to 'UTF-8', it works. I just don't know, Gnumeric just opens the shit.
