Are you playing a stamper, like he did? Also, how do you convert from negative to normal audio, is it the player or software somehow?

I told I'm playing a negative, photos show it too :P
The "hill" plays center to edge, and I reversed the recording in my favorite audio editing software.
I was surprised the needle did not jump over the hill haha.
