As a friend of mine says, "Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one".

My two cents:

Make it a bit smaller, put a little bit of a "frame" around it, perhaps provide a scroll bar and give it a "title" at the top like "News stories" or just "news". It's not that bad as/is.

I'm scared of too much clutter but I will try the frame and title... hm, how much smaller do you mean? I mean, text size or width of the news section?

Ps. Can't have a scrollbar inside it because it would make a double scrollbar, one of the entire page and one inside the news box so I reckon it's better with one page scroll.

100 pixels cut from the width. Hm, looks too confusing. I need to ponder.

You were right. I think it looks better now. I cut it by 70 pixels and put a little more space between each news block.

What do you think now? ( You need to press F5 to see the changes. )

I meant the height of thing, maybe it's just me, but it looks funky extending beyond the length forum listing on the homepage for instance.

The changes you made do look better in my opinion!
