Was gonna type out the recipe, but found the exact one here:

http://www.food.com/recipe/sour-cream-c ... ing-197888

Copy and Paste is so much earier :)

Sour Cream Cookies w/ burnt butter icing:

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 tablespoons butter (for icing)
2 cups powdered sugar (for icing)
1 teaspoon vanilla (for icing)

Directions:

1 Mix together:

2 Shortening, granular sugar & eggs.

3 Stir in:

4 Sour cream and vanilla.

5 Sift together & stir in: (an electric mixer may be used).

6 Flour, soda, baing powder and salt until well mixed.

7 Chill in refridgerator for at least 1 hour.

8 Drop rounded spoonfuls about 2" apart on parchment paper lined cookie sheets (trust me, this is crucial) Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes or, when touched lightly with finger, almost no imprint remains.

9 Icing: (Icing lovers may want to double, I recomend it!).

10 While cookies are cooling, melt butter and boil until golden brown, but not dark brown!

11 Remove from stovetop.

12 Blend in powdered sugar gradually.

13 Stir in vanilla and 1-2 tbsp of hot tap water until icing is smooth and creamy looking. Spread on cookies with butter knife.

14 **You may want to use different food colorings to suit the holiday/occation**.

Take note of that bit about the butter in the icing being golden brown, if you over do it solid particles form in the butter and it's disgusting.

I should say too, no need for the finger imprint and the parchment's not necessary if you have a good non-stick baking sheet. ;)

Sounds delicious but at the same time, seem very complex to make. At least for me. I'm not good in baking at all. Cooking on the other hand... :D As soon as I have cash for my Fujifilm X100S, I'll be posting some of my dishes and recipes.

Okay, cooking related, do you guys find those non-stick grills any good? Had one, I hated it. I find those old crock grills much better, think there was some issue with fires though

I think regular oven is just fine but I'm a bit confused. The picture that you have attached, is that the non-stick grill?
