Some new member joined, I was emailing him to ask if he is "real" or a "bot", Google brought up his profile (I won't post it here to keep his privacy) and he had a few pictures from old computers. I thought they were worth saving so here they are!

...although, for some weird reason, he used his email as his nickname when he registered. I have asked him if he really wants it like that or not. Maybe a mistake. Hopefully, he is no "bot". He seems old school.

I later swapped the video card for a 512KByte Trident SVGA thing, added an 8bit SB compatible card and a 3com509 NIC.

This is the image the 286 fetched from the internet :

I also have a 386 that needs a bit of work on it, a 486 which pic is actually seen somewhere on this forum, a Pentium 1 machine, and multiple PIII machines I don't consider old really.

I recently acquired a couple of old Commodore 64 computers. One works fine, the other always boots, recognizes memory about half the time, about half the keyboard works. Not sure about fixing the one or just saving it for spare parts...

Still need to work on this:

I got the adapter, but need to fashion the cable. Got some cartridges with the good one, will put up some posts when I find the time fiddle around.

NC 5.x was my favorite! Oh, how I love those hidden file markings in it. What the fuck happened to the computers? They no longer inspire! Everything is so... crappy these days. Even with millions of colors and super fucking HD displays these days, those old computers and softwares rocked a lot harder!

TmEE, I got a chuckle out of those two AA batteries. I can think back to times that I wish I had thought of it.
