Well, fuck me sideways... Facebook buys Oculus VR!

Funny, I was thinking to myself the other day, maybe it was yesterday, that it would cool to buy one of those. Facebook just made sure that I won't be buying one of those, ever. Imagine having "Spybook" on top of your head... jeez, no thanks! ::thumbdown::

At the Mobile World Congress last month - right after agreeing to pay $19 billion in cash, common stock and restricted stock for the mobile-texting company WhatsApp - Zuckerberg said he was "done for a while."

But on Tuesday, when Facebook announced that it agreed to buy Oculus VR, a developer of virtual-reality glasses, for $2 billion, investors got concerned again.

I read almost all the comments and 99% of the comments were negative about this takeover and said that they will not purchase the product because of it.

Ars Technica is buddy buddy with Microsoft and Microsoft is buddy buddy with Facebook. Funny to see how Ars Technica went into full "damage control" mode after they published that article. Sad to see the slow demise of once good Web site into a piece of shit turd which only talks about bullshit, some moronic game and more bullshit these days. They have indeed become a tabloid Web site but once in a while, they still throw a bone to not waken the masses the the fact that they are full of shit these days.

Quickly, they posted two more articles on it and even though the Minecraft guy clearly said:

We were in talks about maybe bringing a version of Minecraft to Oculus," Persson tweeted. "I just cancelled that deal. Facebook creeps me out.

They chose not to put it on the title of the article and despite all of the negative comments, definitely 99% negative and angry comments, they promoted a positive one at the bottom of the article, which most likely is two fake comments anyway.

Don't trust them bastards!

Ps. I have said it before but just like Neowin, they banned my account over there too.

I really looked forward to play Eve Online with that thing but now that Facebook bought them, there is no way in hell that will purchase one of those. Never ever.

Wow...what a shill comment. That guy has his head very deep up his ass. Look at it this way: without Oculus VR, you'll be more productive in life.

Oculus founder didn't expect "so many death threats" after Facebook deal.

Death threats are lame and moronic but fuck him and his money! On the serious side, everyone has a price, $2000000000 was his price.

I suppose this was only a matter of time:

Oculus VR Inc., the maker of virtual-reality goggles that Facebook Inc. (FB:US) is acquiring for $2 billion, was accused by ZeniMax Media Inc. of misappropriating intellectual property worth billions of dollars.
