I switched the thread title to black, perhaps that's what is different? I have changed to many things in the last 2 days for techtalk.cc that my head is spinning.

I am now pondering on some more changes. I haven't discussed this with the big boys yet but hm, maybe the news could somehow be on the front page? Like a "real" news Web site? This is a bit tricky because we don't want to make the main forums "less important". This will be a hard one, I maybe have to ponder for a long while.
Any suggestions are most welcome. After all, you (Steven W) and TmEE inspired this current design!

Something like this... but hm, the problem is that I don't want to destroy and hide that beautiful hardware background picture. It gives a very special feeling upon arrival at the Web site in my opinion.

Just a side note, there won't be any huge changes unless you guys agree and feel comfortable with the changes. The forums and "talking" will be the important and main goal of techtalk.cc.

Good samples. I was swimming near the same ideas. Another one was to split the page 50/50, right side news but I'm not sure if it is a good idea. The guys at http://www.ParanormalStories.com have also a unique idea but that would probably not work too good for us if one specific thread gets 20 replies and their Web site is news centric but we want to keep techtalk.cc forum|talk centric.
