There is, however, a price to pay for this: the traditional Win32 Skype client is being end-of-lifed and will not be supported beyond the end of August this year. Users of the Win32 client will have to upgrade to Skype 8.0 (the desktop version of the new unified app) in order to be able to continue to use the network.
And as for the Linux versions? *crickets chirping*

Discord, has "app" on phones and also works in a browser. You can screenshare, video/voice chat, join "rooms/channels" like the old IRC and you can upload attach files. You also have control over what you post so you can edit/delete it later on. Super nice. https://discordapp.com :thumbup:

Well... it is but so what? :mrgreen: It's a great messaging "app", works both natively on Android as "app" (and Apple) and also via the web browser. It even has screensharing functions. :clap:
