Heh. I was using Linux when writing the original post. Personally, I really like Notepad++, but those screenshots do look promising.

Notepad++ is good but TextPad is different class, it's SO GOOD! hahaha, saved me many times. Actually, I developed mostly in it instead of big fancy tools those days when I did development. It's very old-school. I hope the person behind it will live a long happy life and keep developing it.

Yes, of course. There are syntax files you can download on their site, it is very customizable. The automatic macro repeating keyboards etc. is amazing.

Yes, it's an amazing application... please try the automatic macro recording and playing, your mind will be blown! It can do repetitive tasks for you, from moving characters to copy paste replacing etc., it's really cool.

Once you use TextPad.com application, you can never go to and other editor, to me, not even Visual Studio is good. TextPad is light so fast so simple yet so powerful.

Also you can save workspace so each project can have its own files open etc.
