I agree. He has some stuff right, but the whole new world order conspiracy is not true, and the US government creating Al Qaeda isn't true either. The 9/11 truthers are full of shit and have zero evidence that it was an inside job, and they pick and choose oddities in the chain of events that builds up a false case. Anybody can do that. Richard Gage, a 9/11 truther who founded the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, claimed in an interview that the explosives which brought Building 7 down may have been placed in the building at the time it was built. Conspiracy theorists have no limit to the ridiculousness of their claims with no evidence to back them up. What it takes is stupid people that listen to a mouth piece, and buy into things which aren't true and which never happened. There are lots of problems with the United States and other countries, but there's no conspiracy about Bilderberg or CPS taking your kids. Bilderberg is a bunch of rich old farts having a meeting. Big fucking deal. Alex is on a wild-goose chase, and the more people that buy into every word he says and buy his chachkies, the richer Alex Jones gets. Mr. Jones is worth millions, and obviously makes a substantial amount of money throwing around his conspiracies. What's amazing is how many people listen and believe every word he says, but then again, a substantial amount of people believe that Elvis is still alive.

A conspiracy is something with zero evidence, and people who believe in them seem to have some sort of mental disorder which goes above and beyond just believing in a simple conspiracy. I've met a few of them, and they are people I would never associate with because they are pretty much crazy. Gulf of Tonkin really happened, but it was because the NSA made a serious error and covered it up to prevent the agency from taking flack. Okay, so people lie. We all know that. But this huge conspiracy about a eugenics program, false flags, flouride to give people cancer...if you believe in that stuff, show me hard evidence that the government has done these things malevolently and has created a system to cover everything up. Government can barely do anything right, and so many leaks happen; people make mistakes and people talk. Conspiracy theorists seem to believe that governments have been successful in preventing leaks and fooling the entire public, including high IQ professors and historians that can't comprehend the conspiracy because they drank fluoride in the water.

I believe in gun rights and preventing the government from having unjust power over the people, and believe that guns do more good than harm. However, spinning things by saying that the elite is forming a secret tyranny which includes a gun grab is not true. Democrats want guns out of the hands of the citizens because they believe the police are trained to use them, and lives would be saved by only giving the state guns. This is one area I agree with Alex. Guns legally purchased should be able to be worn concealed, as if they're outlawed, then the bad guys are going to be the ones using them. If I'm in a convenience store and some nut goes on a shooting spree, I at least want a chance to fire back and kill the shooter before I'm killed.

I agree with the point that Alex Jones is more than a little over the top, however I think that those who believe that *any* government is an entirely benevolent force simply are not paying attention. I'll say this too, it usually takes many years for any truth to be outed. I know some of what I'm about to site here might be considered ancient history to some, but again, it usually takes many years for the truth to be outed:

Vertus Hardiman
Syphilis Experiments in Guatemala
Elmer Allen
The other stories Eileen Welsome uncovered

There's, of course, a much longer list that I'm aware of and am sure that there's an extremely long list that I'm unaware of, but you get the gist. Do you think the dragnet surveillance the NSA was conducting would have been uncovered were it not for the actions of a few people? Remind me again, how does one get the label 'terrorist'?

Both Jones and Uyger agreed on the fact that there's too much corporate influence on government in the USA. I couldn't agree more. Those who want to make, manufacture, grow and sell products are essentially the same ones that determine if this products are safe. Nothing wrong there. Those that regulate the banks are former member of those banks, not to mention those banks "donate" big money to candidates. Nothing wrong there either.
