Yes. Yes indeed! :? :D

Today I started with your list (as I speak), on the first tune now. Excellent stuff. I was already drawn into the music as soon as the first seconds started.

I should actually come clean and admit I didn't hear them in perfect order. It was ( I believe ) physically impossible to get the first two albums before the others here in the USA, those two being tied up with record company legalese from their original label once they signed with Columbia for "Sin After Sin". Even if they could be found here they were under massively reduced distribution until later years. ( Similar thing happened to the Scorpions ).

So me and my friends had "Sin After Sin" first and then got the first two thereafter. The song on there called "Dissident Aggressor" pretty much became the benchmark that defined them to us.

Also if I recall, Halford was kind of a last minute singer added to Priest. It took a while to develop their direction but it is definitely visible in "One For The Road" and "Rocka Rolla". By "Sad Wings" he got his solid footing and started to dabble into the operatic gymnastics that really shined in "Sin After Sin". By the time "Stained Class" came along he was guaranteed legend status for all time. That one has IMHO his best work ever in Studio because they are still in standard tuning, unlike his excellent Solo stuff ( Fight, Resurrection, Crucible ) which the latter stuff is detuned ( guitars down 1/2 or full step ) as well as the current Priest ( that video of Rapid Fire is played 1/2 step under the original ).

A Metal God indeed.

Metal and Classical are two kinds of music very close to my heart. I hope that it doesn't mean I am going to hell. *lol*

Here's an old one! 1975,

Halford with hair. KK could almost be auditioning for Skynyrd.

I'm still stuck in Rocka Rolla.

Great album! :!: :)

In here, they almost sound like Pink Floy:

Article at TechSpot : MTV to air 12 hours of music videos to celebrate Independence Day

Which sounds pretty cool I guess, maybe the early years? But then I read ...

The network is calling it the ultimate party playlist for fans of pop, country, hip-hop, indie and electronic dance music.

Wait, what? Something's missing from there!

Indeed something is missing alright! How can they forget it? Oh, wait, they didn't forget it. They are fools!

I like the old days of MTV, where they actually used to send music before it turned into a political brainwashing for kids.

I flipped to MTV a few times during that 12-hour stretch ... barrrrfff!

What a disaster.
