Hello. First time user here. I've read a bunch, read the chm.

I have a totally fresh 98 SE install. I install the drivers. Then I launch the SP3 program, choose Main Updates/Core Files. Reboot. Any time the CHM pops up it's blank. Web views in explorer are blank.

I'm thinking this has something to do with the whole IE is dead on the machine. How do I at fix it though so I can browse the CHM (or any CHM) again?

I have no idea what's wrong. I just ran the installer and everything is working on my end. Have you cleared the system cache? What are your computer specs?

Perhaps try installing the drivers after first installing SP3, and install the latest drivers available. It could be because when you install the drivers before installing SP3, it has some function (or the bloatware that comes with the drivers has some function) that uses an older version of something, maybe IE's framing. If you install the drivers after SP3, then perhaps the drivers and/or bloatware will install registering the updated IE Frame and such.

After reinstalling Windows 98 SE, of course. I know, you don't want to, but you're gonna have to. (If you do then I'm just thinking of modern Windows re-installations xD)

Just poking my snoot in here, but it'd be hilarious for someone to figure out how to put a modified Glass effect in Win98 SE.

Unfortunately that someone is not me because I'm dumb.

Unless someone did it already...

Hi all! First time here. Alright so i get this error which freezes the system "Explorer caused a general protection fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:000075a2" so i decided to try your service pack to possibly fix it. After installing your latest 2016 version of sp3 (only core system files) and restart, nothing was fixed. I get the error randomly. How to fix it?
