Check this shit out:

https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-a ... -care-less
What to Know

Merriam-Webster treats the phrases couldn't care less and could care less as synonymous, both meaning "not concerned or interested at all." "Couldn't care less" is the older and more obvious phrase grammatically, but it has been confused for so long that both are now defined. Additionally, the example sentence "it's impossible that could care less" is the same as the intended meaning.

Wow. It's not even slang, they literally mean two different things. "could" and "could not" cannot have the same meaning. It's like saying kids at school done "2-2=5" so many times now that it's the same as "2+2=4".

Now that comes close to meaning the same thing as I couldn't care less. A slight variation:

Questioning the authority of Merriam-Webster's Third World Crack Whore Edition, the nerve of some people.

Have you ever seen someone using 'walla', 'wallah' or 'wala' instead of voila? The first time I saw that, I thought they were using some word I didn't know.

The trouble with these speech "trends" is they are catching and once newsreader start using them they infect the population really quickly or is that another current problem :-)
