Is there any reason why no one is patching the hotfix VMM.VXD?

Well, you worked out the big chunk of it! Does your patcher not require the name change anymore?

PROBLEMCHYLD, patience buddy, let the details get worked out first.

One other thing, RFMaster, you do realize the VMM.vxd is inside of the VMM32.vxd and can be extracted using VxDLIB, right?

Cool, I think your patcher is technically doing something to both files -- which is, most likely, a necessity. I admit I don't fully understand what's going on here, but it appears some of my guessing is paying off. :)

PROBLEMCHYLD just a thought, you might try to use DEVLIB and RPLCLDR to replace VMM.vxd inside of an extracted VMM32.vxd and then apply RFMaster's patch and rebuild VMM32.VXD like I did in my post.

DEVLIB and RELCLDR are in the files I mentioned here

viewtopic.php?f=30&t=519

If you have some time, backup your originals first!

While we're all talking here... I'm trying to flesh out what a patch to mod the files would need.

What are the odds that your patch could work on a VMM32.vxd that's in the system folder of a working system?
Perhaps, we could figure out how to mod the file PROBLEMCHYLD's mentioning and use DEVLIB and RELCLDR to insert it in VMM32.vxd. Any thoughts?

RFMaster, any chance you can write a patch for others so that their Vcache.vxd will match mine?

I hate to ask given how much you've done already :oops:

This patcher was fucked up, sorry for the inconvenience.

Here is fixed patcher(s):

REMOVED BY MODERATOR: Hyperlink. THE AUTHOR ISSUED A REMOVE ORDER.

Two patchers there, for VMM32.VXD and for VCACHE.VXD
