Hi there
I'm a guy from Barcelona, Spain, who has been following this unofficial SP thing for quite some time.
As a video games fan, I've been pretty pissed off with each release of Windows. Each and every time I had to scratch about half of my (original!) games...
Last week, doing some spring cleaning, I stumbled upon a box filled with all my old games, and it occurred to me, why don't I build some retro time machine and have a blast with all this stuff?
So here I am, happy as a piggy in the mud. I got computer pieces and parts all over my place, my girlfriend is hating it, I'm using Windows 98 SP2 on a 533 MHz PIII , and it works like a charm!
So, thanks. You guys are doing an amazing job with this package, us peeps tired with this multi-cored modernist techno-garbage and obese inept operating systems are eternally grateful for it.
Now is time for a Jeopardy round, if there are any kind souls around here (and if they don't mind...):
Reading the change logs, I noticed some mention about Active Directory. Is it actually possible to connect to a domain controller (Windows 2003), without punching dozens of holes in it (I'm only interested in gaining access to shared folders)?
Where can I find information on what software packages need to be installed (IE6, DX9 etc.) before applying SP3?
Thank you for your help and keep up the good work!
