I'm telling you this because this what you say in such context perhaps can be interpreted in this way "Why don't you find an unsolved problem and come up with a solution."
And this is why i want to make this clear.

rloew wrote:Microsoft and maybe others can make modifications to these files possibly even for the same purpose, but they have to do so without knowledge of my solution. Copying my Patches, especially without even understanding what they do, is wrong.

As I said before, if people can legally copy my Patches without compensation to me, then I have absolutely no reason to make any of them available to others.

Is that what you want?

It is not about what i want. I have Linux and thousands of free sostware that come with it so i have everything what i want.
And i don't need anything of this.

It is about what others want and it is about of principe of how your patcher work. It put some fragments of data(or however you want to call that) - arrays of bytes
into MS files.
And why do you think that others do not have rights to do the same thing even with the same data cuz as i show earlier, this data - this arrays of bytes are common
to many programs.
So i do not see any other(different from patent) solution to protect this.

Your Ramdisk, your democore/multicore project these are your unique solutions nobody can say otherwise and you have copyright on it.

But puting "some bytes" into MS files is not unique and you can't say that only you can do this.
We've already seen it before in the older versions of KernelEx - it put "some bytes" into Kernel32.dll and other MS files.

And that is why i think the best solution is patent if you want to protect this.

Since you seem to have plenty of time to attack my work, you obviously have the time to send the payment for the work I did for you.
I must have struck a nerve. The bullshit that you pulled with the Europeans is NOT going to fly with me. Call your lawyers up, mine are retained. Discussing our personal arrangements on an open forum will get you NO PAYMENT! If no one has told you yet, Fuck you, with a capital F! RFMaster is my friend, you are not. Born and raised in Chicago, ain't no dummies over here...what the fuck you thought? If you need me to extend my vocabulary God will translate it for you. You lost money from me AND from my sponsors. Now choke on a hollow tip. I will take the patches from RFMasters that I have saved and put them on every torrent site that I can find. I will not lose any amount of sleep OR money in this endeavor.

I said that because you seem unwilling to let it rest. So suggested you channel your energy elsewhere.

You have not proven that THESE fragments are common at all unless you are talking about the one Byte ones.
There are constants in that data that are not meaningful in any other context. Hitting that value by accident is less than one in a thousand.
Your examples were entirely different data and do not address the even bigger issue of placement.
Your Ramdisk, your democore/multicore project these are your unique solutions nobody can say otherwise and you have copyright on it.

Without copying, a million programmers would not come up with that exact code.
The author of KernelEx would be the owner of those "Bytes" and placement. He chose to put it into the public domain. The newer one also adds Bytes but does it dynamically.

You have chosen to ignore me on the PM so what do you expect?
You might need those lawyers as we have a legal contract.

What is your point. You are not helping him.

Not only could you harm RFMaster by posting them but you won't like the consequences.

Let's take the legal route because if you have not shutdown the Germans, then you don't stand a chance against me. Lets do it. His patches will be in the next SP. Lets see you stop 20,000 + downloads overnight. Fuck around with the fuck arounds! I'm going make love to my wife, while you contemplate on how to stop this epidemic. Ciao

What legal contract? Everything I do online, I have different alias. This is why I don't have any of your patches. I will post my email which I have had over 10 years, not in my real name. Get in tune stupid. You will be chasing a ghost. I'll never squat to take a piss, look :wtf: who is the bitch now!

I have you exactly where I want you.
Making threats in a public forum should help escalate this to criminal charges.
You are in the US so it is a lot easier to take action.
You will make your SP Host a target as well.
Needless to say your reputation on every website and forum that promote your SP will be destroyed.

So I guess I should add fraud to the charges. Should I post the entire PM so all your buddies can judge?
You do have my test files and you have executed them.

Post it  Who the fuck is PROBLEMCHYLD? Keyser Söze? You aint fucking with no rookie. Fraud, who committed fraud? I don't exist. The next SP will be the last version anyway. Its been over 3 months. That should tell you something. Who do you think going to win in court, me, you, or Microsoft? I don't expect to beat Microsoft, but I will beat you and that means we both lose. Get the fuck out of here.

I do not approve sharing my files which were published in this topic or files which not exist on my site anymore, sharing these files is against my will!

Thank you for the suggestion, i already focused my energy to other things on the same day when i stopped to work on this.

The reason i still talk to you about this is your claim->
rloew wrote:Bytes are mine.

Why?
Cuz, if someone can claim something like this, then someone can say for your software or anyone's software. It would be total madness.

rloew wrote:You have not proven that THESE fragments are common at all unless you are talking about the one Byte ones.

Really?
Any application can contain these fragments! End of story.

rloew wrote:Without copying, a million programmers would not come up with that exact code.

And that is the point around which we can not agree.
You may not claim that you're the only one who can do something.

You can't constantly keep blurry situation, some day you must decide. I gave you a suggestion-
patent your thing if you want to protect your work.

You can't stop people to talk about lamp222's files.
And we can't protect you if people use lamp222's files even if we stop talking about it.

You with your claims provoke people to do things that they would not do in a normal circumstances.
Please, stop it once! We can not protect you from yourself.

I have nothing more to say to you on this topic.

You are not as anonymous as you think.
You really think you can win when you have effectively admitted criminal intent publicly?
I also would have no problem proving beyond any reasonable doubt that the Bytes were copied. Not everything has been revealed here.

That handle is your identity and your reputation. You have spent a considerable amount of time building your reputation. Do you want to destroy it overnight?

You might get a few kudos from like minded pirates, but no one who wants to keep things legal will ever use your SP when they find out it is warez. You will lose a lot more than you will gain.

Incidentally, I have already gained financially, more than you ever intended to pay. All you have are some useless test files. You didn't think I trusted you enough to give you the full package, did you?
Now I am doubly glad I did not implement it as a Patch which you might have been able to pirate.
Since you have publicly defaulted, I am free to sell the release files I was holding for you as I see fit.
As a part of this project, I have also developed a very useful tool for creating more of these types of DLLs that should make future projects much easier and I can also sell the tool to other Developers.

So where do we stand?
The money I got because of this forum should be in my bank by now. What do you have?
My reputation is as good as ever. Yours will crash if you do anything stupid.
You should be glad I am around. You have several of my free Patches in your current SP.

Besides cutting out Demo Patches, this nonsense makes me less inclined to give out free stuff if this is what I have to put up with.
