How does this "!" assfuck get away with being this fucking antagonistic without getting his ass booted out?

"Did you go to safe mode and remove all the USB drivers in Device Manager? You can't move forward if you don't do that. What type of USB chipset you have? VIA, SiS, Intel etc... I need more info."

Yes, I removed all the USB Devices in the Device Manager. The chipset appears to be SiS. The motherboard is an ASUS A7S333.

Hm... it's simple. Because people get to speak freely in here. Although, you keep proving my point, that you ARE a fool. You couldn't bring up any good argument against my car & mechanic example, I handed your ass to you so now you want to bitch at the moderators and ban me? Calling me an "assfuck" is the cherry on top I suppose?

I shall therefore stand by my original judgement, that you are a moron.

Anyway, I hope your issues with the SP gets solved.

Thanks for listening.

Speaking freely is one thing, being an antagonist is another. Most places if you started picking fights with people, you'd get kicked out. This applies not only online, but in real life as well. Most forums I know of have a set of rules, otherwise you get shitholes that begin to look akin to Stormfront.org.

I didn't respond to the Analogy because I had better things to do at the time.

But anyhow, I'll oblige now that I have some time. A better analogy is someone getting a second opinion from another doctor. Not leaving a note about your car at a Domino's then telling the Mechanic at a Garage to go there. That's not a good analogy. This is the internet, there's no walking/driving or phone-calling or other rigmarole, it's just a simple click and read, think about when you've linked multiple people to a single news article for example.

Besides, the forum was still relevant to Windows 98, and unofficial updates and patches. Because if you hadn't noticed, my issue might not necessarily even be U98SESP3-related, but I figured I'd mention it because that is what I had installed. Who knows, someone there might have experienced the same issues before! I was looking for input, and guess what, I got some in that thread finally!

Another analogy I can come up with, is asking around for the opinions of experts in a specific field about an issue, and instead of re-iterating the same thing multiple times, you just forward the same message to each person. No reason to repeat what has already been said, no?

And... just to clarify, I may have acted a bit rashly in my first response, as I've been having a really fucking shit week having to deal with knowing that a friend of mine is on his death bed, stacked on top of other people giving me shit and stabbing me in the back in other places when all I want is to help/be helped/have fun/be friendly/etc.

As of late, I feel like I could rip the throat out of the next person to insult me by calling me an idiot/moron/bad person, because I know for a fact that I'm not any of those. I've dealt with too much of that bullshit over a decade ago in high school, and I abuse myself enough as it is... I don't need it from anyone else. That's not idiocy, that's stress (or perhaps borderline madness. I don't really know anymore at this point.).

Anyhow, all I wanted is some useful input from anyone who can help with the issue I posted, that's all I originally came for. The banter is helping nobody, and is clogging up the thread. "!", to be honest, you could have just politely told me to just post the full message here, and I would have gotten the hint and obliged. Calling me a moron and a fool was aggressive and completely unnecessary, and that's how people get off on the wrong foot and off-topic back-and-forth BS like this begins.

No, not really. You can't be "half" pregnant. You are either pregnant or not. Same with speech. You can either speak freely or not. There is no middle ground. At least, not in here.

This is not "most places". This is here. We are unlike others. In real life? I'm exactly the same.

StrikerMan780 wrote:...I didn't respond to the Analogy because I had better things to do at the time...

It's cool. Take your time.

You went to a second doctor and asked him that he gives your first doctor a phone call and asks the first doctor about your problem instead of explaining it to your second doctor yourself, that's what you did here.

I agree about your "it's just a simple click", yes, you are absolutely correct. It is indeed just a simple click but it doesn't make it right. THIS very thread is the OFFICIAL help thread. You asking PROBLEMCHYLD to go somewhere else to read about your problem is at best, disrespectful. Another issue is that MSFN has a habbit of deleting threads and make them "disappear" without any trace. It would be very selfish if you just got the answer yourself. Posting the information about your problem IN HERE will help all of the other thousands of visitors, today and in the future.

Well, that's good for you. My discussion here is not why you posted in here or there. But that you should and must post your question (whatever that may be) in here as well, not just a link!

I disagree in this specific case because as I said, everyone come HERE and if we have a dead link, it won't be of any good for anyone in the future. Saving links is Google's job. In here, we would like to have content and substance to help people. Not forwarding them to yet another link. I especially dislike it when people (not you and not this case) on forums ask about something and some moron comes along and gives them a link and says "maybe there is something there". Now, I, myself, have done this very same thing in the past and most probably will do in the future... but I dislike it, nevertheless. :relaxed:

Oh cry me a river! Just joking! Look, we ALL have shitty days from time to time. The important point about these shitty days is how you handle them. Sorry to hear about your friend.

I did give you shit, for sure but that's because you did something wrong in here. The way I said it? Sure, I could have been more polite but you aren't my parents and I didn't feel like being polite.

Certainly, I did not "stab you in the back" because, I don't even know you. Stabbing you in the back, that's something which usually originates from someone who knows you or someone whom you have some kind of deal with.

Look, we ARE actually very friendly in here. As you can see, NO ONE deleted my posts or banned me. As you can see, NO ONE deleted your posts or banned you. You said it yourself, that if it was any other place, there would surely have been a delete or a ban in place. But not in here! Why? Because we ARE friendly. :relaxed:

Also, no one needs to lie in here about their opinion because no one is afraid of getting banned or posts getting deleted. So, the chance of someone "stabbing you in the back" and break a deal with you in here is FAR LESS than the other places. We speak our mind, freely in here.

So give us a chance and you will find this place a pleasant meadow compared to all of the other places.

You are and will always be, a moron, an idiot, a fool etc. to someone at some point. You won't ever be able to stop that. Hell, I don't go around thinking that "yeah, people don't think I'm an idiot"... no no no, surely, even in here, some people see me as an idiot. You, yourself, most probably see me as a moron right now! But do I care? No. Why? Because it's OK to have an opinion and I understand that. If someone wants to call me an idiot or a moron, even in here, it's fine! Really, it's totally OK to have an opinion, whatever that may be.

StrikerMan780 wrote:...I've dealt with too much of that bullshit over a decade ago in high school, and I abuse myself enough as it is... I don't need it from anyone else. That's not idiocy, that's stress (or perhaps borderline madness. I don't really know anymore at this point.)...

Good ol' high school. We abused and we got abused. That's life man. No one said that you must take bullshit or abuse from anyone in here. Tell them to go fuck themselves and no one will stop you!

I did point out that you did something wrong "in my eyes", impolitely, sure, but hey, in here we are all the same and if you don't feel like being polite... for example, if you have a shitty day... no one will force you or expect of you to be polite.

In here, you, yes, even you, can speak impolitely if you wish and you would still be welcome in here. Now, tell me if you can do that in any other tech forum? Do you now see how friendly we actually are? Just see past my impoliteness and feel the love!

I totally agree with you. 100%... but that, would have been way too easy, don't you agree?

...@PROBLEMCHYLD,

Please accept my apology that I got into an off topic (well, sort of off topic) discussion in your thread.

If you don't want these posts (these specific discussions between me and "StrikerMan780" which are unrelated to SP), please let me know and I will move them to another thread. (Not delete but move)

Thank you.

He never got back. I'm following that other thread to cache it in here if he solves his issue. So far, nothing.
