Have you ever found something really badly designed? Something which obscurity of its functions makes it hard to understand its use? Something almost unusable to a point it would drive you mad using it too often? Perhaps, a fool's design? Then you have come to the right place. Fool's design.

Google - Shoving Google+ on your users' throat is foolish.

Trying to sell your crappy spy service called Google Plus (Google+) every other click on all your services is moronic. Even more foolish is the way Google is trying to con the user on accidentally clicking that BIG FAT JUICY Google+ button.

No new email? No wait, join Google+!
Want to sign out? No wait, join Google+!
Want to piss? No wait, join Google+!
Want to die? No wait, join Google+!

Google is no better than a used car salesman. We can sum it all up with two words: Cheap tricks.

YouTube integration with Google+ expands to comments section.

Apparently Google+ isn't dead yet and Google hasn't given up on pushing it onto its users. The latest appearance its making in Google's products is in YouTube's comments section.

Now Google+ is arguably in full swing on YouTube. Starting this week on channel discussion tabs and eventually on all videos, Google+ Circles will be a major feature of YouTube comments. It will allow users to switch between all comments and certain ones from people in their Circles. Additionally, people can comment publicly or privately again to just Circles.

Google+ was already somewhat integrated with YouTube and its comments after Google insisted people switch over to commenting using their Google+ name instead of YouTube username. Once you switch over from your username to Google+ name for a certain period of time, there's no switching back though - so it's more like "force" than "insist".

You'll also notice that sometimes when signing into your Gmail account, it asks you if you want to join Google+. I didn't want to be asked, and don't want to join! This is Google's methodology when it comes to being the underdog in the world of social networking.

Speaking of shoving crap down users' throats...

The trouble with the rat-race is that even if you win, you're still a rat. Way back in the day when Microsoft was unleashing IE onto the world, everybody howled that they were introducing new IE specific things for websites to be able to provide, eg ActiveX. Now it seems that google is doing the same thing with Chrome. In both cases the idea is to take ownership of the web...

http://tech.slashdot.org/story/15/04/14 ... ifications

Google today launched Chrome 42 for Windows, Mac, and Linux with new developer tools. Chrome 42 offers two new APIs (Push API and Notifications API) that together allow sites to send notifications to their users even after the given page is closed. While this can be quite an intrusive feature for a browser, Google promises the users have to first grant explicit permission before they receive such a message.

Sorry, I...don't have much else to contribute, other than that.
