Hi all!
Im struggling here since some weeks. Decided to try to install Win98 on my Mac to play some classic games from my childhood

Installing Win98 itself was not an issue. Just used a .iso with the Windows and a .fdd with a boot disk, quite easy. I've installed the Unofficial Win98SE Service Pack v3.64 afterwards too.

Problem is to install drivers... I've found a Parallels Toolbox for legacy OS (https://kb.parallels.com/en/124377), but from there only the video driver is available for Win9x.
I am not being able to make sound and network drivers work. Even when a driver is correctly installed, it still shows a :!: in the Device Manager as below:

Someone able to help?

Try right clicking on them and install manually one by one, sometimes this used to help me, back 20+ years ago.

I did try that, even if a driver is successfully installed the icon stays like that and it doesn't work

Try removing the device and re-add. Hm... this problem sounds strangely familiar to me but for the life of me, I can't remember the cause or how I solved it. It was such a long time ago.

You may also need Intels chipset drivers:

FYI, run the Intel INF installer first.

One more audio driver (think it's more likely to be THE ONE):

Steven W,
Thanks a lot!

At first I've tried to install all of they and none worked. I've started thinking that maybe I had tried way too many different drivers and there could be conflicts going on. So I've deleted the virtual machine and made a new fresh install of the Win98SE. First I've installed the chipset driver that you've sent and the USB were working. After that I've installed the Unofficial SP3 again. After every step I made a backup of the virtual machine so I could roll back to it in case any installed driver did not work. And tried again one by one... the one that worked was this one: https://download.cnet.com/Audio-Realtek ... 68843.html

Just the network is missing. To copy files from my Mac into the Win98 I'm creating .iso images, it works but would be really nice to access the Mac files directly from the Win98.

Cool, glad you got that far. There is a network driver in the file linked in the page you mentioned in your first post:

https://kb.parallels.com/Attachments/kc ... -other.iso

Obviously you already know how to mount the ISO.

I've extracted it with 7-zip and the driver is in this folder:

\prl-tools-other\Drivers\Network\RTL8029\WIN98

Hopefully specifying that folder when attempting to update the driver works?!
